What this website collects, and what it doesn't
In short: the only personal information this website collects is what you choose to send me through the contact form. There are no ads, and nothing follows you around the web.
The contact form
When you send the contact form, what you typed (your name, email, phone number, insurance, how you found me, and your note about what you'd like help with) is emailed to me, and you get an automatic email confirming I received it. The website itself doesn't keep a copy. The emails are sent through Resend, an email delivery service, to my practice inbox.
Email isn't the place for private health details, so please keep your note brief. A few words, like "anxiety" or "OCD," is plenty. We'll talk about the rest on our call. The form is not for emergencies. If you need help now, see If You Need Help Now.
Visiting this website
This website is hosted by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare handles basic technical information, such as your device's IP address, to deliver the pages and protect the site from attacks.
I use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages people read. It doesn't use cookies, doesn't follow you to other websites, and doesn't tell me who you are.
There are no ads or tracking cookies on this website, and I never sell your information or share it for marketing. Because nothing here tracks you, your browser's "Do Not Track" setting doesn't change anything.
Videos and other websites
The videos on this website play from YouTube in its privacy-enhanced mode, and only load when you press play. Links to the Client Portal (run by SimplePractice), Psychology Today, Google, and Facebook take you to their websites, where their own privacy policies apply.
If you're a client
Your health information is protected by federal law (HIPAA). My Notice of Privacy Practices explains how I use and protect it, and what your rights are. You receive it when you start, and you can ask me for a copy anytime.

If you contacted me but didn't become a client and would like your message deleted, or you have any questions about your privacy, call (919) 275-0727 or email carlos@nextlevelcounseling.net.
If anything on this page changes, I'll update it and the date below.
